    We pitched there

In a world where traditional industries are being disrupted by startups, it's refreshing to see established companies taking proactive steps to stay ahead of the curve. Recently, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Economic Council Germany of the CDU organised a Startup Night in Ulm, where we had the opportunity to present our innovative business model to over 45 attendees from established companies. We were one of the 5 startups selected to present to the successful entrepreneurs and politicians. We started the evening with a welcome from Managing Director Julian Utz and a keynote speech on digital and AI from Ronja Kemmer, our Ulm Member of Parliament. Thank you very much for the words of praise for the innovative strength of our region and the vibrant ecosystem and the necessary further steps to support entrepreneurial action on the part of politicians. We were the third in the group to take to the stage to present the company's vision for sustainable agriculture.

    Panel and take home message

The aim of the event was to bridge the gap between the old economy and the startup ecosystem and to promote collaboration and innovation. After the pitching, there was an inspiring panel with all of us as pitchers on the topic of ‘Daring to innovate more’ with our start-ups, moderated by Stefan Hofmann - and a clear call to action to politicians. The Startup Night provided an opportunity for established companies to learn from innovative entrepreneurs like betterSoil. By attending the event, these companies gained insights into the latest trends and technologies shaping the future of their industries. They also had the chance to network with fellow attendees and explore potential collaboration opportunities. For us, the Startup Night presented a unique opportunity to connect with potential partners and investors. The startup gained exposure to new audiences and perspectives, allowing it to refine its business strategy and accelerate growth. The Night served as a powerful reminder that innovation knows no boundaries. By bringing together entrepreneurs from different backgrounds and industries, events like this can facilitate meaningful connections and drive progress. For BetterSoil and other startups, partnering with established companies can be a key factor in scaling up and achieving long-term success. As we move forward in an increasingly complex and interconnected world, it's crucial that we continue to foster collaboration between old economy stalwarts and innovative startups. The future of business depends on it.
